Topic: AT-PT'S

Ive been wondering what the plans for the at-pt are. I know its been designated for inclusion in the mod but how will it fit in alongside the AT-ST or AT-AT? It is not as powerfull as either of them, seats only one person (I think) and its anti-infantry role is allready filled by the AT-ST, so im wondering what use it will be, and I hope it wont wind up being the vehicle you take when the good one is gone.

Re: AT-PT'S

If it were not for the Combat Speeders, the AT-PT would actually be a better choice in many ways for Mos Espa, I think, as it's harder to spot and fills the anti-infantry role just as well, or better (don't know, haven't tested it) as the AT-ST. As far as I know, the devs aren't even making the AT-PT.

Re: AT-PT'S

Well I remember reading it will be included. And I dont think it fills the anti-infantry role as well because it does not have the height advantage meaning it would be very difficult to survive in the town in an at-pt. Its scary enough being an at-st in those streets without having your view brought down into tunnel vision.

Re: AT-PT'S

just give the devs and the mod time to grow up, never knowing what else coming in the future.
Remember GC ended after 4 years development with over 60 vehicles + countless minor variations
FS is a very young mod and far away from being complete, incl gameplay etc.  It just needs time to grow up from childhood to adult.
and dont forget the community hobbymodders! ( like me, hehe)  So dont be too surprised when one day you suddenly find a ATPT or even a lightsaber  hidden in a custom Map wink I have learned in the past that Nothing is impossible if you really care for. there are always ways to circumvent a problem....
so be warned wink

Re: AT-PT'S

Well, AT-PTs are more stable than the AT-STs, because they have thicker and shorter legs. This makes them slower, unfortunately, but it is less likely to fall over. The command pod can be raised or lowered, they can carry two passengers (in an emergency! The command pod is cramped.), and they have primitive sensors. Their weapons are twin lasers and a concussion grenade launcher.

Curses, foiled again!

Re: AT-PT'S

I dont think we need to worry about them falling over.
