Version is 1015. And the FirstStrike.exe swap worked, as far as I can tell. 4 or 5 playable servers just popped up. All empty, but there none-the-less. At least now I know I can connect to the campaign. Thanks!

Well..if it still looks like this then your filters are wrong. Should only be same mod and same version selected.

If it's in red, it means it is not the right version. Either 2142 is wrong or FS is wrong. Have you tried the bf2142.exe switch fix? That often fixes it now that you are sure you have all the right files.

Also, check First Strike, when the launcher starts, click file, preferences and then tell me what version number it shows.

I have my filters set up exactly like that, and I still don't have any servers. I have bf2142 running perfectly with 1.51, and I have FS with 1.5. I don't get what's going on.

Ok. Thanks, got singleplayer working. Now there's just one more fix before I've got it working perfectly, and that's the other screenshot I uploaded. There are no servers in multiplayer, and if I really search, the only one I find is the one that's pictured, and it's not the right version.

Since this says that SP is not supported, then I would suggest you have installed the wrong version of First Strike, and that would explain almost every issue you have been having.

You need to download and install version 1.5 of FirstStrike. Any previous version of FS needs to be uninstalled first.

Well, I got it back to the point where I had the same problems I stated at the beginning of this thread. I went ahead and took some screenshots to show you what's going on.

I had that too.

To fix it I went into the registry and set the version 1.51 to 1.50 (you can see it listed in one of the 2142 files).

This allowed me to patch with the latest 2 GB 1.51 again.

I give up. I've spent 24+ hours trying to sort this crap out and every time I solve a problem, another one pops up. I don't even know how to start to fix it. Here's my most recent set-back. Basically, after I uninstalled/reinstalled everything twice. I ended up with a patching bug in which the 1.51 patch stayed active even when I uninstalled, leaving the reinstalled game unpatched, but because 1.51 was never deleted, I can't re-patch.

Something has gone wrong with your install dude. Probably happened when patching everything while FS was installed.

Uninstall everything (yes, including 2142) then reinstall. Make sure mod install to the 2142 directory.

Ok, two more problems, but when they're out of the way, I'll have a perfectly running mod. (With the exception of the Lok map, which lags rediculously.) Anyway, the first problem is that the single player mode is not supported, but I've seen people talk about it on the forums, what's going on with that? And the second problem is that all the servers in multiplayer are maps for base 2142, not FS.
