In addition to this, unfortunately we did not make the ModDB Top 100 (no surprises there really if we're honest, due to lack of players rather than lack of quality obviously). However, our new partners over on Star Wars: Battlecry did rather well, not only securing a Top 100 IndieDB slot, but also receiving the Editor's Choice award for Best Upcoming Indie Game, so that is certainly something to celebrate. Heh, and First Strike even got a little mention through association and being a factor that heightens interest in that game, so congrats Battlecry Devs!

Thanks for the kind words of support, here is the next news update, announcing perhaps our last crack (In it's current form at least) at the ModDB MOTY Awards, don't expect us to win it or anything, but would be nice to get into the Top 100 and send the old girl off in style.

With no master server it means no keyserver so BF2142 can now, in theory, be played for free.

Unfortunately news post is a little short notice for me to be able to kick people into action, and I've already got some plans for Saturday and Sunday evening. I'll pop on if I can. Slyfox has told me he'll be around so I'll throw him the admin credentials to blow the dust off of the BI server in case there will be use of it.

Thanks for the info Oldboy, unfortunately in addition to the issues already noted, EA are no longer selling new copies of BF2142, and have removed it from Origin, as unlike BF2, BF2142 never made the leap to other digital distribution methods, this effectively means that people can no longer purchase BF2142 to play our mod. This obviously will cause additional problems.

EA certainly isn't making it easy for us.

Project Reality open-sourced their master server recently. No idea how easy it is to reconfigure it for BF2142...
