Heh, and now here's a little video advertising the issue, it goes through every page of the mag, and you can just about see my blurry page at around 54 seconds in, out of focus as they don't have clearance to use the images in video I guess, but if you squint really hard you can just about make out the corner of my Stormtrooper photo, and on the other page a few First Strike pics including the Sentinel, the Jundland Wastes loading screen and a few WIP Hoth shots.

All good stuff.

And now it is official, I'm in the magazine!

The article on fandom features in the SFX Magazine Special, The A-Z of Sci-Fi Movies, under 'F' for Fans. It details 6 fans and I'm the first one with a full one page spread featuring of course a cheeky plug for First Strike.

Only downside is that the interviewer seems to have been a bit of a Muppet getting a lot of his facts wrong, especially where First Strike is concerned, somehow getting his wires crossed and thinking the mod hasn't been released yet, when in fact I told him that the latest release of the mod featuring Hoth would be out in about a year. So I'll need to write in to get that fact corrected somehow. There are also a number of other answers to questions that I gave him where he has edited them down (which is fair enough, these things often get edited down to deal with concerns such as space and all that), but not only were the answers edited down, the results actually made no sense. So I'm reading the article and going what? That's not what I said, or some other tales were left incomplete missing the point of the story being told. Well I mustn't grumble, have managed to get First Strike a full page of publicity in a cool mag after all. It just takes the sheen off the thing when they get so many details wrong.

Anyhow, pick up the mag to see First Strike in shiny new print again.

I think you must officially qualify as a Star Wars nut when you get asked to do an interview regarding your obsession, sorry, healthy pass time.

So I'm now qualified I guess, have just done an interview for SFX magazine for an article on super fans. My particular vice being Star Wars I mentioned First Strike as being one of the reasons I'd consider myself a super fan, so I got a good plug in there for the mod. So with luck that'll result in some good publicity and exposure. I don't know yet what issue the article will feature in, but will let you know when I do. They're also asking for a few snaps to illustrate my obsession, so I'll be sure to get some FS images in there.
