Yeah, you'd think they'd sort out the off-line play bugs even if they are giving it away for free.

Lots of people have had it added to their accounts for free over the past few days.

Odd, given there isn't any master server or anything.

I already had BF2142 deluxe edition registered to my Origin account, but I went to the Origin store and could not find the game where you could get it if you did not already have it.

I have heard that if you have a retail version of the game with the registration code that you can still register it on Origin:

In your case, Origin may be auto registering games on Origin that you had already registered to your EA account before Origin. EA wants to force everyone with an EA account to use Origin.

In any case, BF2142 can be found on Deathlok Clan and other sites, so it's not too difficult to get the game.

The killer problem is the offline crash after map change with mods issue.

Anyone else notice BF2142 get added to their Origin account yesterday? I clocked it last night, I knew it wasn't just my own normal copy of BF2142 due to it having no hours clocked in, and being the deluxe version of the game, plus it said it was added on Jan 14th.

So does this mean that BF2142 is now available through Origin? If it does that is a big deal, it means that people can at least get a hold of the vanilla game if they want to play our mod. Still no multiplayer server support though obviously, and the singleplayer only had the basic 16 player versions of the original game's first maps with bot support, so none of the additional maps added in later add-ons. So what does that mean to our current development? It at least means people will have easy access to BF2142 rather than having to hunt down a second hand copy to try the mod, that is definitely a step in the right direction, at least for anyone who still wishes to play our classic mod.

Does this have an immediate effect on your current development plans Dnamro?
