It's been a few years since I played. The larger versions of the map (32p, 64p) take more hits to destroy, as well as there being more towers. What you want to do is aim at the black pipes at the bottom of the tower, those are weak spots and do extra damage. I'm pretty sure it used to take 3 or 4 bombing runs with an Xwing on the 32p variant.

Been trying to attack the death star for a while now in First strike but on the rebel side, it takes forever to take out the deflection towers and I don't even have a chance to do the trench run proper.

I was wondering what would be the fastest way to take out the towers. Like approximately how many photon torpedo's would it require? Don't the deflection towers have a weak spot somewhere?
