The great 2142 unlocks will be used to give each class a selection of weapons/grenades/cool extras. Whether or not you will need to 'unlock' them by earning points or objectives has yet to be decided.

It's a proven fact that people make more effort when they have a goal to achieve, 1 = Impliment a goal 2 = provide means to attain goal 3 = reward achievement of reaching the goal. tis all psychology but is proven to be effective.

Is ABR editable though? Because I think it might be a little weird to have all the normal BF2 titles in the Star Wars universe... maybe some of them could be edited appropriately to reflect their equivilent in the Star Wars universe?

we are concidering using ABR at a later date.. it looks interesting and adds that extra gameplay eliment when your playing and its FREE!! hopefully will be decided soon..

hmm haha abr sounds like a nice group of people

i remember a lot of BF42 servers had trackers for their servers somehow. not too sure how it worked.. but it was only tracked on that server and you could see the stats at the clan website or wherever

A ranked server would cost no more then a non-ranked server, if they implemented their own ranking system. However, you would just need an extra server to send the player statistics to. At least, that is how I think it works. I could be wrong entirely.

Or, it could be server-side, so the server you are on stores the player data, meaning you would have different ranking and such in the different servers you go to.

In my opinion, there should be a ranking system, but not neccessarily by points. Rather, perhaps people get voted into the position by the common players on the forums, then get the nice little shiny badge in-game. Not that it really does anything.
