On Wookieepedia there is reference to medics as droids that would be dropped in to areas to heal units. I'm also sure that there would be medics in the Star Wars universe considering especially for the Rebels who need all the troops they can get.

That's cool that there is more support for a medic class then those who don't want them. In battlefield 2 I am usually spec-ops (so I’m really looking forward to playing a Storm Commando ^^ ) or medic...

in most cases when I’m a medic I just cannot get to a person in time to help them or with art coming down or tanks I just can't.

I have to say though when being shoot at by APCs and stuff for a medic to keep reviving people they would have to be very lucky. Because if a round goes near me I die, and if I hide behide a wall it shoots through it and I die... so I just try to flee because I can't help the guy if he and I die so I just get out of there. Oh yeah… and when art comes down… I am also usually the first one to die… anyway… but I do love playing as a medic…

I just figured there wouldn't be most support because we just don't see them in any star wars area... the only one really is with Galaxies which had a combat-medic profession back when it was good to play.

I do also disagree that medic weapons are just as good as assault kits.. because when it comes to attacking power I really love the power of a G3 which is unlocked with an assault kit.

The "vanilla" weapons tend to get the job done perfectly fine IMO.

ArcAngel227 wrote:

Also, I'm sure few people complain about having a death point taken away.

Exactly. A medic can never get you killed. He can just prolong your incapacitation through repeated revivals. Just be patient; the medic will either give up, get killed, or if you're quick enough, you can escape whatever it is that is repeatedly shooting you. Try timing it ever so perfectly so that the moment you are revived you get up and sprint to cover. Even with an APC firing away, you'd be suprised at how timing is everything.

Sorry dude, but I gota go with TK-8252 here, medics are the very foundation of even mediocre teamplay. Though I'm terribley biased here, since I'm always either a medic or a sniper. You could argue that the medic weapons are overpowered, especially with that G36 E (my favorite ). But I'm sure in FS they'll make sure all classes are balanced. But they're actual job of reviving downed teamates is absolutely essential. Also, I'm sure few people complain about having a death point taken away.
