Major bump, forgive me.

I think this'd be a great idea. The way I see it implemented is that lasers are fired straight ahead normally, but when you have an enemy fighter ahead of you, they start to "lock on" until your fighter aims for you. So if you manage to keep someone ahead of you for 10 seconds or so, it's a confirmed kill (although maybe it should be less for balancing reasons, the maps being smaller and all).

As for which crafts have this ability, I suggest you watch this.
-At 2:32, when the leftern TIE Interceptors blows up the A-Wing and then crashes into the Calamarian Cruiser, I think it fires its lasers a bit to the right.
-At 2:42, an X-Wing very clearly pivots its lasers slightly to the left to take out a TIE interceptor.
-At about 2:50, a TIE Interceptor appears to fire its lasers in a different direction than the one it's travelling in.

The X-wings have the targeting too. So does the Falcon.

No, the Falcon has dorsal- and ventral-mounted turrets which, as seen in ANH, can be aimed much like the turrets of, say, a real-life B-17. Nothing to do with targetting computers.
