wah.. judging from the topic I get the feeling that the opportunity has allready passed, which feels kinda odd when the game isn't released yet

Yeah, I remember. Enemy Territory: Quake Wars has been pushed back year after year. And although I'm skeptical, I trust EA on this one.

Knowing games these days the date will be pushed later. Look at BF2, ETQW, and countless others.

I understand your frustration, but you must've left before the patches fixed all of those mentioned things. The game is officaly being released in October, what date exactly, I don't know.

they'll probably release it the day after thanksgiving... the biggest shopping day for the holidays. as far as getting 2142... we'll have to see about the demo. if the game play is the same as the BF2 that i've grown to hate and despise... i'm not buying... and becuase the engine is supposedly the same, with just a few "upgrades," it would probably end up being the same as BF2: a fast paced laggy game that ends up collecting dust on my shelf....

i guess in order to fully enjoy bf2, i would have to buy a 2 thousand dollar machine to play it on... but that doesn't make up for the bunny hopping, glitches, and way unbalanced weapons that the game has to offer. if i see any of this in 2142, its a no-go for me!

perhaps i will buy this game summer of next year, when the prices have dropped and the mods have come out. i really was looking forward to first strike.. but i'll just wait i guess

thats demo, were talking about beta
basically they want to stress test there servers to keep track on the bf2142 records. another words its an unfinished product which they'l give to the public for free to try out then, remove it, finish it up, release a demo 2 weeks or so before actual release then ship the game
