I'd get it started but I don't have the time to learn modding for the BF2 engine. Just got too much work with my real job.

i have thought about this, i have even written to page about my idea, but since my modding skils isent the best and its very hard to find good modders welll its kinda hard:P but i relly hope that somewon whould do this, maybe make a mini mod for FS...

Space and infantry combat would be killer but I'm not so sure about land vehicle combat because I don't remember seeing any land vehicles in the KoTOR games. That would be cool to have a mod with no land vehicles. But seriously...
