Also perhaps you could get extra points for getting a highly damaged craft back to port. Heres an idea, slow the autobleed ur vehicle gets when its critically wounded down to say 30 seconds, so it becomes a race against the clock to either get home, or crash land anywhere you can to escape, luke hoth style.

I think it is possible because if I remember right in DC Realism when the helocopter was damaged it began to be very hard to control. Hope it works because it would give engineers more responsibility and make vehicles less overpowering.

Oy vey, did anyone else notice my terrible grammar? But as for the topic, it might be kinda neat. Imagine for damaged speeder bikes if in addition to smoke the front stabilizers start to sway a little, an the controls go kinda wonky. It might happen in spurts too, coming and going. Damaged ties might start having a tendency to spin. Lotsa stuff could be done.

I'm not exactly sure if this has been brought up before, but I'd figure I'd bring it up. I always thought it odd that in Battlefield that having your behicle damaged had no impact on it's performance. I know 2142 gives alot more freedom to the moders with vehicles, might it be possible to cause a damaged vehicle to having hampered acceleration or top speed, or something similar?
