What I'm trying to tell you is that, what works in battlefront will not nessisarilly work in BF2. The BF2 engine was made to run modern combat battles not futuristic space battles, so no matter how good the Devs are, this is never going to be a seemless MOD there will be issues caused by BF2 (Space battles will probably bare the brunt of these). The issues include: the one skeleton per team problem, no skeleton for vehicles(ie. very difficult to create walkers), 2D control Zone, Lag for large vehicles, walking on moving vehicles causing players to bounce up and down........

The list goes on, but the basic thing you need to understand is that BF2 was not designed for the purpose the devs are using it for, Battlefront on the other hand was, so not every thing in battlefront will be possible in First strike. So the better this MOD gets the better the reflection on the skills of the Dev's. Just rember don't expect the impossible, Although I'm sure the Dev's will be pushing what is possible to the very limits of the engine.

i believe the problem gc had with space maps was that the roof and ground could not have the same physics as the side walls did where u get an out of bounds warning. so i wonder if you could trick the bf2 engine into thinking the roof and floor were actually more side walls. hmmmmm good luck with that one. that is why i am a fan and not a developer of mods lol although i am full of ideas and a renowned starwars expert but you prolly got plenty of them.
