On BF2142.com they say that there is going to be a fourth phase where everyone can download the beta, but it won't be open for another two to three weeks.

Well this first release is now closed, and it was to subscribers only, unless you won a contest. But other phases will be more open, I hope.

I read that it won't be open to the public anymore. But there will be other phases with more opportunities.

Your misunderstanding things.

The Open beta (the FREE one everyone can play) follows a Closed beta ( fileplanet subscribers).

This happens for most games.

The Closed beta is out next week (http://www.fileplanet.com/promotions/bf2142/ )...its not out yet. The OPEN beta will probably be out a week or 2 after th closed beta.

the demos apparently coming out 10 days before the actual game. wholesomly doubt this "game" will be out by the end of the year by my looks on it
