as been said, PCO could be doable, but it would mean a silly amount of time spent in animating.

nevertheless a cool feature that I would love that we had time with at a later stage

If you go into your profile (top bar) click on Display, you can change it from black to hoth style

Can you make the skeleton invisible and code what looks like an ewok skin onto it? I'm sure the hit boxes will be strange, but it's a start. It could be like an ewok costume on an invisible skeleton or sum such. Just brainstorming out loud.
