Like i said, use the Registry to look up the location of anything matching that, or using an administrator account, just go into your file tree for EA and delete the file.... since it's a program, I can hardly think it's nested into another file.

Well I don't know where u get the idea u can just remove the spyware if it is part of the game, remember it is a source of external revenew for EA through advertising for other companies

you missed to say "which runs ONLY while you are using BF2142 online".
In other words keep up to date the ingame advert.

Hello, it is the legal bull we are talking about here. would most purchasers know of malware when purchasing, NO!!!!!. can you send it back if you disagree with the terms & conditions once you have opened the box. No, not unless u open it in the shop & ask for ur money back, or credit card company treats u nice.

Of course it only works when u play online, that called marketing spyware at ur systems private expence.

Stop making excuses for Mallware which unexpected purchasers have no idea about till they get home & open the box.:rolleyes:

WAIT! Just get Windows Vista.... that'll take care of it, since I'm sure Microsoft never signed anything with EA, so their beta defender will remove it. If not, I'll just check the location in the Vista registry (by the way, games run GREAT in Vista). Besides, if you know enough about computers, I'm sure you can easily remove the file(s).

That I appreciate, but the buying public need to be aware of the malware they r purchasing in bf2142, it is a pitty this mod is for that game, but sensible punters will refuse to buy utter crud from EA. People need to know the $hit that is being sold.

unfortunatly this mod supports that $hit crud from EA now.

actually completely wrong on both counts.

The BF2 community can't stand anything Sci-fi at all. whereas 2142 they do.

perfect example is to check our news updates on totalbf2142.com and Planet battlefield.

2142 we get loads of comments each update. PBF were lucky if we get one. PBf being more BF2/BF42 vietnaam centred.

Lol you're wasting your time they're not switching back. There's just so much more potential in bf2142; namely walkers and the new titan mode.

Hope so too but I am not holding my breath. There will be and is far too much money involved. We, the fans, can make it change by not buying it. I hate to say that here when there has been so much work put into Firststrike but what use is a mod when the main game sux and has so many glitches due to all the Mall and Spyware?

GO BACK TO BF2 guys. You will have more of an audience and less of the headaches.

This is unreal. I never thought EA would stoop THAT low. Now they are just trying to see what they can get away with. Heres hoping for a giant lawsuit and a prompt patch to remove this advertising scheme.
