JEDI'S WILL NOT BE IN THIS MOD AS OF NOW, there may be a clone wars mod that MAY have them.
(this is from the best of my knowledge)

I think if we end up taking on the Prequel Trilogy, then fair enough, there would be a need as Jedi were an intergral part of the theater of war during that period. But as this mod is primarily at the moment based in the Original Trilogy period, Jedi don't play that big a role in the day to day fighting during the Galactic Civil War. Sure the small number that do remain have important pivotal roles to play in the greater scheme of things, but not in the numbers seen in the prequels. At the end of the day this mod is about the troops on the front lines of the war, not Jedi, and as I believe licensing prevents us from being able to use the key players such as Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker, it's really a moot point anyway.

I disagree, I think that battlefield would actually make a great engine for jedi, if the elder scrolls oblivion approach is taken. I would really really LOVE jedi. Just not yet. It should be something to be entertained when the standard army part of the game is rock solid.

Yea like 98% were killed in hte clone wars. 90% of teh survivors are main characters. so that leaves maybe 1-2 jedi that are still alive that are not talked about in the movies.

Do you have any idea how hard it would be to implement jedis into gameplay well? Balancing, special animations, models, attacks, weapons, abilities, weaknesses. It would be way to complicated.

And besides, like MK4210 said this mod isn't about jedi its about the civil war, and the battle a common soldier would face each day on the frontlines.

Its been discussed many times that this mod will be based more around the common soldier and besides that, there weren't that many Jedi in the Original Trilogy.
