I believe that you mean IG-88, and also, I like the HK series myself even though they are not as present as the IG series, they are much more interesting in my opinion.

Theres a little bit on the front page about droids. One of them is being used as a squad leader assist i belive like the droids / squad becon you get in normally BF2142

We all love the astromechs, and here is a small suggestion on how to get them into the mod.

First of it would be nice if the engineers could drop one much like the ammo or medic hub. Unlike the hubs the droid would roll about the area fixing stuff that get within a certain radius. The problem here, I guess, is seeing a wookie pull an astromech out of his (other word for mule)! Maybe he could plant a becon and have the droid airdrop or come rolling from some place else.

This would not be a problem with commander supply drops. Instead of having a big box that repairs you, the astromech (or some other kind of droid) would drop with the big box and start fixing things.

Also, it could give engineers a way of opening doors without blasting them. The droids could simply find a connection point and hook up. Maybe this could take a minute or so, but still it would be a neat trick!
