The same questions seem to be popping up a lot, so please read this before you first post. Feel free to ask questions though.

Q. Will there be Jedi/lightsabers/force powers in the mod?
A. No. Jedi were very rare at the time of the mod, as they had been wiped out by the Emperor and Darth Vader, and none will make an appearance in this mod.

Q. What time does the mod take place?
A. The mod takes place during Episodes 4-6 (The original ones). No Clone Wars stuff will be included yet, although a clone wars mod might (no promises) be made in the future.

Q. Will there be space battles?
A. Yes, there will be space battles in the mod. They'll be similar to Battlefront 2's space battles, but much bigger, with movable and explorable capital ships.

Q. Will Luke, Vader, Han Solo, etc be in it?
A. Due to copyright issues no specific characters can be used. However, expect to see some Wookies.

Q. Will the Battle of Hoth be in it?
A. Yes, all major battles from the original films will be included, along with some that didn't appear in the films.

Q. Will this mod be ranked?
A. Mods can't be ranked in the Battlefield Series. Some mods have developed their own ranking system, but First Strike has no plans to do that as of now.

Q. I want to join the team. How?
A. Use the recruitment form on the website, or apply in the recruitment forum here.

Q. I have ideas I want to contribute.
A. Head over to the "wants list" forum and post your idea. Try to explain it as well as possible. Please try to give ideas that would be possible to put into the BF2142 engine. For example, controlling six people at once is never going to be possible. Getting rid of gravity is, though. If you aren't sure, just ask.

Q. I have a map I want to make, but I don't want to join the team.
A. Head over to the "custom maps" section, give a plan and description of the map. if the team agrees, you can make it and it will be included.

A. A playable (but not full) release will come out in 2007. Please refrain from constantly asking, the mod team will release it when they are ready. If you want it to be released quicker, contact your firends who can mod, and get them to join the mod team.
