un-co, i meant in procesess. I closed everything else. I'm not really behind a router, but i'm in a modem that is connected to 3 computers, through a wall jack i installed.

see. no idea how a firewall works... :S

do you have SP2 with the windows Firewall or some other software Firewall?

If your behind a router ask someone (the person who installed it would be nice) and have him open the ports used by bf, or let them be forwarded to you. these ports are found on someof the last pages of your bf2142 Manual

Thats under Applications have a look under processes (you will see an aweful lot more then that I'm sure. ONLY close stuff listed next to your username, otherwise you will most likely crash your windows. Sounds like a firewall issue, although I' almost certain it was tuersday in America whne he posted (Its wednessday morning here)

when in push ctrl+alt+del the only things up are taskbar explorer and bf2142

are you behind proxy? Use a rooter?

or better: how do you check to see you dont have a rooterfirewall/ onboard firewall.
dont get me wrng but i have had so many people say thats its not a rooter/firewall problem when it was

You cant connect on Tuesday morning, its matinence time. Wait until midday.

try logging in to your account on the site of EA itself
http://battlefield.ea.com/battlefield/bf2142/ to check your profile/stats.
if this doesnt connect eitehr the master server is down.

if not, do you have the latests patch? Try updating PunkBuster. this somethimes helps.
if all fail, try reinstalling. (remember to deleted the cache in My Files/bf2142 or something like that, aswell. dont forget to save your screenshot first )

When i try and log into the server to play, it said "Contacting EA Master Server" for about 10 minutes then says something like it can't be found. It's not the internet because i still can use it, and i have no firewalls up. It's like this for 2 other games and mIRC and it's getting really really annoying, because i can't even play singleplayer.
