There are certain differences between a stylized (Quite shoddily made in parts) MMO and a FPS mod - the fact its first person is quite a major one (and WoW's 'first person' really isn't the same thing). The other biggy is that an MMO focuses on making the whole world somewhat believable and entertaining - whereas an FPS has only a single map and its contents at any one time.

And WoW is still a minority of gamers in general

Oh by the way....
Everyone who has seen World of Warcraft, you know the biggest game ever.
In this game u can level ur character up to a maximum of 60 (or 70 in the new burning crusade)!
The higher in level u go, the more things u get. A friend of mine is a level 62 elf warlock and rides about for hours and hours on the back of a large sabre toothed tiger!
NICE!! But what am I rattling on about????

There are NO animations at all from the rider of the Tiger, but only from the tiger itself!
So is it rally that important to make these tiny chnages to the rider of the speeder bikes' position???
In World of Warcraft, about 9 million people who play the game think not!

For everyone who thinks that this is a final piece of work, just remember that it was a W.I.P. and that things can change, or at least that's what I was told. Anyway, I am also for the idea of generic gloves because I honestly found it a bit surprising with nothing between the view and the handle bars.

But either way, it looks great.

hey guys nice job with the bike.
I love the 1st person view. I do think also that it would be nice to add some anims to the scout.
Especially some looking around, some bouncing and some lower leg movement, possibly even leaving the saddle!
But I dont think its really that necessary, maybe later on when the build is released u could tweak
some stuff up. I would like to see some more stuff to do with the handling. Such as Air-sliding stops,
a bit like doing a hand break turn and maybe a moment of gravity when going over large hills?

I dont know if it was in that You tube vid as it was a little unclear from the 3rd person view what was goin on. To be honest I am really happy that harry and ryans bike is in and working! It looks great! Good luck and keep it coming.

THX-1138 wrote:

Gotta say that seeing the guy on the bike move would be nice....

as for the vid released I have nothing but praise. If there's ONE thing I could say I hated the most about SWBF1 It was how bad the speeder bikes were. Especially from 1st person. They tried to give it a sense of speed, but instead blurred the vision so you can't see anything, then made the bike so fast you couldn't control it, then made the physics so bad that hitting a shrub would blow you up. Bikes were instant suicide in that game.

These on the other hand, look freakin' sweet!

So very true. Almost everything in both BF games were half-@ssed. Damn you Pandemic! It's this very type of reason why I wish I knew how to mod.

Wow. Very impressive test vid, guys. Leaning and working the control handles accordingly would be awesome if possible, but the question I specifically have is... will the 74-Z have a limited flight ceiling (25 meters if I remember correctly) like in the films and is that even possible?
