I think they're a little bit more relaxed about it since the official stargate game was axed and the fans demand a game or blood.

www.unreal.fr/stargate is still under developement (mod for ut2k4)

and there is a mod too for bf2 about stargate, one is closed, the other is still under developement I guess

Seriously though, we need a chopper in case the lawyers come for us. And not just the LucasArts ones either. Arnie's lawyers will be coming too.

Exactly the point, so hopefully LucasArts won't see this mod as a threat to sales of their battlefield:2 copy

Same thing happened with GC right? I thought it took them a long time before lucasarts even said anything to them, and now the GC download is hosted by a lucasarts server.
