It was the orientation of the jets that made them bad. Even the fighters dominated air to ground combat so much. Both types of jets should have given the pilot a specifically air to air roll. For the bomber, only the second seat weapons operator should have controlled ground weapons. A balance like that would mean 1/20 of the air to ground kills in a normal game, but still realistically powerful jets. a multimillion dollar weapon should not be easy prey to infantry.

Or I could find the manual:/.

But yes, the ".txt CD Key registry" idea is really good. It'd also be nice if the devs printed the CD/DVD-keys directly onto the game disc, like the Silent Hunter III people did. It means that to install you have to insert the disk, remove it and type in the key when prompted to, and then re-insert the disc, but it puts an end to "no installation due to missing manual" blues.

Have you got SF?

Not that I know.

Cud yer stooop' ed....

Did I ask you?

Truly sucks, you should do what I do. Make a .txt with all of your cdkeys on it. Everytime you buy a game, add the cd key to the list while you're entering it into the game itself. Make sure to periodically back it up to a flash drive or print it out so that if there is a mishap, you'll still have it. Now the hard part for me is finding the disks...

I don't think using the SF code will work. You may have to buy another copy of bf2...

Reminds me of when my room-mate bought counterstrike source and there was no cd-key printed on the intruction manual. He had forgotten to get a recite, too.

OK, so I've long since uninstalled Battlefield 2, and today I decided to reinstall it. After a long search of various possible locations throughout the three floors of my house, I at last find cover and disk amidst our DVD movies.

So far so good. I open the setup program, which lets me choose between "Modify", which'd reinstall the game, and "Remove", which'd uninstall the last fragments of it from last time. I hit... "Remove".

Now I'm left with a game I can't install because in order to do so I need the serial number printed on the back of the manual, which is somewhere else in my house.

Can someone explain to me why I didn't just hit "Modify" and let the game install?
