Man, the Imperator class is big, but what floored me was that Executor class was the biggest of them all! Like, holy crap, nothing's bigger (since they decided not to stick Eclipse class on there!)

And man, the Discovery from 2001 is a lot smaller than I thought.

And Star Trek ships (though I did already know this) are pathetic.

Can we PLEASE ban links to rapidshare on this? It's a pain in the pie and there are far better solutions for things like pictures.

I wonder how big the Mother Ship from Independence Day is compared to all those...

Face it, the Imperator is one huge ship. It's so huge that it's difficult, if not impossible, to fathom how huge it really is.

Fortunately, we have a good way of making it easier to fathom just how big something is: we compare it to something more familiar to us. So watch this.

I also went into Google Earth, had it measure me a 1600 meters long line, looked out the window, and pictured a Star Destroyer hanging over that area.

It's one huge vessel.
