I go behind the scenes of the computer labs and ask the computer what it was thinking at that moment of calculation:

"Crap...well how would I tell them to get across the atlantic ocean.. er... oh what the hell... Swim your pie over, hell, what do I care? I'm a fugging computer! Woo woo!"

OK, This is simple.

Got to http://www.google.com

Select Maps from the menu up top

Select Get Directions from the menu

Put in New York as the starting location

Put in London as the ending destination

Read the directions, paying close attention to #23

Easy to follow, a little difficult to actually do.
