Of course I know from experience that it'll be a fun game, so no worries there .

And on the beta spot thing... Just be really active in the forums and in our IRC channel (#first-strike on quakenet) and when the time comes for beta testing you might just be one of the lucky ones .

Just be nice, mature and dedicated! This is a good start so far

IMO What can be better than flying around on a speeder bike or piloting an AT.ST over a  desert or Hoth style snow scape. It's already good in 2142 but with the Star Wars models and sound effects you are defiantly on to a winner:D, not to mention all the other stuff you guys have listed, I mean Corellian Corvette's and star destroyers! WITH space battle's, I know this will be awesome period.

How long till a public release?

And do you have room for one more Beta tester?
