Just a small question, but will there be in-game music, or just music when it loads and at the menu?
I think it would be pretty cool for there to be in-game starwars music. It just adds to the overall feel.

Yeah I remember hearing a bit of WIP stuff. Sounds great - it's got that signature Williams stuff. Timpani FTW.

I'll put new music over the SW music any day, simply because it's new. Nothing wrong with William's tunes, but I've heard them so many times before it's scary.

man, my bros got a hacked PSP version of FF7 from the PS1 and i really want to get it now.....where did i put that downgrader!?!?

To me, they don't have the feeling of Star Wars. I get the feeling of some emotional moment from like Final Fantasy. Also, they would need to be extended in length, because Star Wars music is always pretty long, from 4 to 6 minutes, with some exclusions.

Because why you are playing the game you want a sense of danger and urgency. Like fighters are on your tail and you are flying around a cruiser for cover while screaming for back-up kind of music. Plus the need for making them longer is because games need to have soundtracks that don't change songs every 2 minutes, making the mood feel rushed.

I don't know, going with the already made and professionally done Star Wars music would have my vote. Don't mean to sound harsh, I like making music too, but unless I have an orchestra and a choire I am not going to top John Williams.

I've heard the first one before. Was it intended for the Warp mod? The second one was really good. I got a Final Fantasy feeling from it.

I like to dick around with music software in my space time, and thought I could put a thread here with some fairly-starwars sounding stuff. When I finally come up with a couple pieces I'm going to give them up for whichever map makers want them for custom map loading music under a creative commons license.

The first piece is from quite a while back, and I recently sat down and finished a second which has an awesome swelling conclusion. It could be the theme for a TV show about aircraft carriers or spacecraft and such.
