Haha...."revolutionize gaming"? It's called proximity voice, and there are games that already implement this, Halo 2 and 3 for example. As far as BF2142 supporting this...that would be an engine restriction that we probably don't have the power to change, Ulph would probably know more about this though.

Edit: I think I understand what you think is new about this, and I'm thinking you mean support for TS/VOIP within the game engine for use with proxy voice. Currently I don't think BF2142 supports that, but I think it would be a good idea for future games. Halo 2 or 3's model for in-game voice support is probably the best I've seen as of yet, and it would be very cool to see PC game developers follow that lead and create better voice support in their games.

This is different from VOIP. Most people use TeamSpeak or whatever to talk to their buddies. But what about the guy on your team who cant hear you and doesnt know the enemy is flanking him. My idea is this, VOIP inside the game, but instead of everyone on your team hearing you, your own voice comes out of your own characters mouth. This will revolutionize gaming."

This is the thread with the full read and peoples opinions.

http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/ … 9771070965
