			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>What if you minimize everything (so all models, including player models) . Could that reduce the lag? This is how they solved exactly the same lag problem in <a href="http://forums.swtow.com/">Tides of War</a> , although that is for a whole different game, the idea could work out the same. (I hope&nbsp; =P)</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>it&#039;s teh sheer size causing teh issue. our smallest Capital ship is the gallofree and it&#039;s roughly the same size/bigger than the BF2142 titan.</p><p>every other ship we have makes the gallofree look small. and the ISD makes it look Tiny.</p><p>the larger teh ship the more BF struggles with it.</p><p>The scale of our ships is immense. if you were to see a Neb-B or a Carrack, or even our ISD on a ground map it would be freaking gigantic lol.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Couldn&#039;t they just replace titans, and be moved by the commander selecting a point on the map?&nbsp; Sure they only stay at one level and dont pitch/bank etc, but it&#039;s better than them being static.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>wel lets just say its not impossible to make these ships moveable with interiors but we just dont know how to do it yet in a way that wont lag, or cause massive jumping for players inside the ships.</p><p>we had a moveable star destroyer a few months ago. but once it moved outside the map limit it was causing massive lag. also when another ship crashed into it it started jumping. it jsut looked silly.</p><p>dont think were not exploring option though but massive capitol ships such as the mon cal and the star destroyer will be static at least for release one.</p><p>your way however is impossible with the Bf2142 engine</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Ok well Ive been reading across some stuff about capitol ship movement and it seems that things like star destroyer/mon cals will be static because of the limitations in the size of the map and that people wouldnt be able to walk inside while the ship was moving.</p><p>However, what if instead of the ships moving the map kinda moved, imagine a star destroyer and a mon cal parralel to each other, both technicaly static but the map kinda moved&nbsp; giving the illusian that they were moving, example: the fight takes place in an asteroid field and all the asteroids are flying in one direction, or the fight takes place in an old battlefield and all space junk is flying by. This way the ships remain static but it gives the illusian of movement.</p>]]></content>
