THis is the best news sense the last StarWars movie! I love you FS devs! BTW will it have only BF2142 maps to play on this release or will it feature full custom only maps like the on for BF2 did?

Please do read the the news post. There are no BF2142 maps in this release. It will all be FS maps. No berlin with stormies, No belgrade with stormies. No gibraltar with Stormies or Rebels. I hope you get the picture now.:)

Mod for BF2? Huh?

Anyway, all maps will be fully custom.

i hope its just files instead of a installer beacause i put it on my other hard drive and form experience with the Star wars bf2 i may not be able to install it, but ill find a way

SW BF2 doesn't have anything to do with FS

The mod will most likely have an installer, and it will probably ahve incremental patches as well, I have heard several times the devs themselves complained about FH patches/releases, so I don't think they would make the same mistake

will you guys have an installer, like bF2/bf2142, to install the updates? or would one have to uninstall and then install the latest version of the mod?

but yes this will be RELEASE 1 the First Public Release of First Strike, It will NOT however be teh last, more maps, more content, balance fixing, bug fixing etc, will continue to come until the we the Dev Team gives up basically.

However. Because it's a on going project, there will be more maps and fixes. So this will be the first experience, but expect much much more in the future.
