I'm in a clan and I still play. I'll probably be spending most of my tome on FS when its releases, but I'll go back to vanillia every once and a while.

Love the thing. Then again, FS will distract me from it so much, I'll probably forget it ever existed.

Also, if people have trouble loading a map, just re-install the game. It's what happened to me. (Camp Gibraltar all the way-ey-ey!)

I tried firing up 2142 the other day but I got kicked because had tweaked some 2142 files for testing in FS. I still haven't played it in a long time, although I did enjoy the game.

2142 is my main game. Got a clan of 8 now that play fairly regularly..... Still get the cheaters etc, but there are generally a good bunch of guys that play on the servers we use.

Going to be converting to FS from the 28th, but i'll still be in 2142

Yeah it's very rare for me to be in a balance team. I like this alot more than BF2, but it sucks when you cap a silo and defending it where 5+ guys come for it and you notice your titan almost losing their shields and the other team still has theirs almost at full. Then you wonder where your team is and they are at the titan either camping for the gunship or waiting to defend... though it's fun defending a silo on your own against multi foes. At least for me

Still playing as I only purchased it a coouple of weeks ago to be ready to play FS.
Can be good fun if the teams are equally balanced and people work together.
Will probably cease playing vanilla on the 28th though for some reason.

I sometimes have a blast in BF2142 but I tend to have the worst luck when jumping in and get guys exploit in any way they can and some that maybe at the very end get kicked by punkbuster for using something... punkbuster is slacking off.

just to tell u guys they are coming out wit hmaps for bf 2122 that has a WORKING CARRIER its called Shores of Tripoli u may want to look into this
