1. NO!! i do not want to install jet another crap programm to download
2. NO!! i do not want to have to pay to start download at max speed

I heard about the pirates 1942 mod when I clicked on "pirated games" at fileplanet. But I don't have 1942, and I figure it was dead anyway, but it looked really cool. I didn't know they were making a pirates 2.

Thanks for the info though! I'll have to check this out. Its for BF2 right? Hmmm, if its any good, I might have trouble balancing out P2 and FS...lol.

But yes, Battlefield Pirates 2 is out! In good pirate fashion, I shall loot parts of the news bulletin from their site and post it here!

After two years of development, many late nights, and with the help of the beta testers, we're proud to release our 1st open beta version of Battlefield Pirates for Battlefield 2. Although we'd like to note that there are still a couple remaining issues, including the need to run your geometry settings on medium, we'd rather get the release out and into your hands today instead of waiting any longer. Seems FS may have some competition coming! I just played a few rounds and it was not bad at all, even though my ping was high and my sound stuttering (neither of which was the fault of the dev crew).

Those damned skeletons are annoying as Heck. I like how you're dependent on sidearms and melee weapons more, though, seeing how long it takes to reload your weapons!
