Son of a bi*ch!!!!!! No roll-Back...     1.4 beta with "Road to tampa" Has been pissing me off non-stop since its release....   I installed it, of course without making a backup of my directory...   Why didnt I? Well there has never been a patch this closely resembeling a turd, to make me think I might have to remove the turd from my playing field...     THEN they released a "Final" version of "Road to tampa."

Which is a revised dried up turd as well.  The map is decent, If I didnt get booted for no aparent reason before and after each round.   Ok here is why I am griping so damn much...

I have aparently LOST my BF2142 DVD case.   That housed, U guessed it...   My damn CDkey for install. Which means I cant roll-back or ever uninstall 2142 if I dont wana buy the game again.
I am about to make a quest out of Getting much needed info and possably my CDkey from EA support Call line.       I can not freaking wait to play this mod... I have been waiting for it ever since BF 1942 and the Gallactic Conquest TC <Wich rocked!>   I played SGW for 3 years untill Lucas Arts made sure it too in many fashions, resembeled a fragrant piece of squeezey pooh. This is my last mofooking hope...

A new hope...    If U will....    For Star wars.....      I should have known that if Lucas arts didng fk it up, EA would with their half-witted patch, and their obvious lack of care to fix the mostrosity... They wont ever post on their own forums about it...

All I have bad to say about The guys in charge here at FS is "Why, oh why didnt you announce that the TC would be running off of 1.25, and not 1.4 beta, ANYTIME B4 2Day!!!!???     Just a whole lot of bullshit to go through when dieing to experiance what U have worked so hard to create....   That said...   and the Torrent DL finished... I am off to dial 800 numbers and take a xanex so I dont atempt to slaughter the rep on the phone with my Jedi suggestion as I probe his Tier 1 brain for answers to my delema.....     I will see you in my crosshairs, or see you behind your gun fire...   May the force be with you and may you realize its call.

BTW-   Do you need/have to have Northern Strike to play this mod?

What I had to do is do a system restore back to the day before I installed the Hihway Tampa beta.

Above and beyond by far.      I am checking the regedit for the key ASAP as I am not at my machine while replying to you. I am sure U are correct in your findings, and if not, U still stand above the norm. Notice the dev didnt try to help with my problem, he explained the Dev teams position on my problem.

Sorry to hear about your troubles..... been lookin for a way to find your 2142 key so you can reinstall.  No luck so far, but i'll post when i find a way around it.

EDIT:

Right, got you covered lad:

1.  Open regedit

2. find this key:  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2142\ergc

3.  Ignore the first 5 charectors (spelling???), the remaining should make up your 2142 key

4.  MAKE A NOTE OF IT AND KEEP IT SAFE LOL

In the future make a copy of the program's directory and rename it then install the beta patch.
