Also if you haven't already, make sure your final patch 1.51 for BF2142 is the correct one, should clock in at just under 2GB, if it is less than that then it is not the correct final patch, though you said BF2142 ran fine, so it might not be that, but you never know, that seems to be the source of a lot of issues.

Hmm, the only reason I can see for you not being able to play would be your graphics. Endor is very graphically intensive, more so than the vanilla game maps. Try setting everything to low to see if that helps.

As to rebel defiance, I cant help without more information on the exact reason you were kicked, though you do say that you had screen corruption? Best I can suggest for now without the exact error message would be to try updating PunkBuster. Go to the link below and follow the instructions.

these are my system specs, vanilla runs fine, and so do all other maps but you asked for them.

also the RAM is not right its actually 4 gigs of ram but xfire measured it wrong.

also I got to the defiance server and played a round and then something came up and said corrupted and the bottom part of the screen and I got kicked from the server by some name. Thinking it was an admin mistake or something I went back and 10 min later it did the same thing. so, could use some help with that too.

In the launcher menu click file preferences and tell us what version number FS is showing.

Would also help if you gave us your system specs (graphics card etc).

Whenever I try to load either endor maps it crashes and says that First strike has encountered an error and needs to close. It does that at about 3/4 loading bar and I tried that renaming the radial file in the program files but that didnt fix it. all other maps work fine besides those. thanks.

Well....all I can suggest is find out the details of the glitch so it can be fixed, OR stick to a server with active admins so that action can be taken.

meh, theres no AA in game. Edges are aliased

Thanks for the help with the bug tho, id rather have jaggies than what i had before.

That *is* forcing AA on over First Strike. It reads as 0 AA ingame, but with the override, NVIDIA is, supposedly, providing the correct AA settings to the game.

Ok thanks, turned AA off in the game menu and that has fixed the bug. Unfortunately i have had no luck with forcing the AA in the Nvidia control panel

I tried this;

and also the same but with 16Q AA but no joy.

Any suggestions? Or any idea which drivers i can use to enable AA and not have bugged graphics?

Im using 190.62 atm

Turn of Anti Aliasing. If you want it on, open up NVIDIA control panel and "force" it on firststrike.exe

This happens due to a bug with some of the newer NVIDIA drivers.

Hi all, not played for a while since i lost my 2142 dvd. Though i got a new one and looking forward to some good games

Installation was fairly straight forward but on joining a game i ended up with the following problem...

This graphical bug seems to be present on all the maps i played (all land based), tho it is not present in normal 2142..

Also, when i take damage i get full screen stereo noise pixelation (only way i can describe it) which is not transparent at all

Sorry if this is already dealt with, im just out of steam and going to bed

To be clear, you usually get that 1000 countdown if you are NOT a Squad Leader but attempt to spawn with the Squad Leader Kit. Not a bug, really.
