I had that problem a long time ago during development stage, the only thing that fixed it for me was a re install of 2142 and the mod...Im not suggesting u do that unless you want to, but I dont know if NS will cause any issues with our mod.

yes it is installed in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\mods\FirstStrike
it still wont work. could it be cuz i have northern strike?

Stigmata, make sure that when you install the mod, you point to your BF2142 folder. If the Firststrike Folder is not located in: BF2142/Mods/Firststrike then the game won't run.

Check where the Firststrike folder has been placed, if its not in BF2142/Mods then move it there. Hope that helps you

I remember the excitement playing bfs (1942). I hope this is as fun as it was then!!! I only stopped playing THAT mod cause there were no servers left to play on .
