krull, it sounds like the shortcut wasn't pointed in the right place.

Check your BF2142 directory.

Default: C:\Program File\Electronic Arts\BF2142\Mods\

Firststrike folder should be located in the above directory. If it is, check the targetpath of the shortcut to ensure that the shortcut is setup properly, it should read: +modPath mods/FirstStrike

If those are correct let us know. Thanks for you patience.

Ok for those who are having problems starting the mod, I found a round about way to start it.

Start BF2142 normaly
go to community
ckick custom games
pick first strike mode
click yes
log in

next u have to do this to find servers

go to multi player
go to advanced
check the same mod option in advanced multiplayer, and make sure every other option is unchecked. update list

Note single player is not operational yet!!!!!!!!

Every time I try to start the mod I get this error message.

Shaders/StaticMesh fx not found!!!_DO_check your working directory,before calling upon your local rendering programmer/GP.(really!)

So what does that mean and how do I fix it?

How ever my bf2142 works perfectly!!
