everyone has this issue, me and a m8 keep going on this same server, when it plays endor EVERYONE on the server crash, its been the same all the time, tho, its not a realy laggy map, cuz btw, only map thats bad according to lag, is the.. the.. mos entha or something map, horrible lagg, i talked to FSDev BUNTA or something like that (oh my memorry is bad xD) and said u were working on that to, so GJ! Great Mod, actualy id rather call it a game than a Mod cuz its not realy near the same as 2142! Keep up the good work ^^

just crashed to desktop 3rd time. thistime it crashed just as i selected the flying droid thing of the rebel AT guy.(tho it crashed when i did nothing aswell)
PS after the first crash i cleared every and all cache related to 2142/FS. but then it crashed again.

still its notnearly enough of a reason to quit playing a loveble map as Endor

Tried a few more times and finally got a 64 slot local started for Endor. I ran around for 15 min. and no issues. I ran around the center flags where I seem to have the CTDs and nothing. I also played both sides and got in vehicles with no issues too.

Maybe it's some kind of memory issue on the server side?

That is great info, as others are reporting memory problems, that will help us track it down better. Thanks!

first of all i activated the mod and i can find ANY servers with the mod and i can only singlepay mos entha eve nafter i click deploy my destop is where i end up

OK, found something that may help.

When starting a local server, I can do any map except the endor map.

I tried to start it with 64 player size and at about 20% load it stopped and I got an error that said 2142 memory error. It referred to a .dll memory error but the game did a CTD and the error went away from the screen.

I crash when walking around, towards the center of the map, and it happens about 10 min. in usually.

I am going to try setting up a local game and test that out. I will post what I find.

First time when I had this bug I was riding the speeder bike but rest of the time I was just running around and fighting and I don't play singleplayer. Could the install file be corrupted? I downloaded my First Strike as a torrent file. I'll test the local game later on...

ok, did u notice what u were doing when u ctd? Also, I assume this is on MP online? Try this, create a local game of 64 then run around for 10-15min or so and see if it crashes, if it doesnt then its most likely not you, but rather something networked that is causing the issue.

Well the longest time I was able to play Endor was about 10 minutes and the earliest crash came during the first 2 minutes of gameplay. It varies...

The first thing I did was clearing the cache :<
Also textures and terrain were already on medium.

windows xp home edition 5.1, servicepack 2, amd athlon xp2500 1,8 ghz, 1536 ram, directx 9.0c, radeon x800 series 256mb 6.14

clear your cache might help!

To do so, go to my documents/battlefield 2142/mods and inside bf2142 and firststrike there's folders called cache.

Wipe them. That means shaders will have to be reoptimised but hopefully also that you're not crashing anymore on load.
