Have you tried updating PunkBuster manually?
PB is supposed to update automatically, but sometimes it doesn't.

Do the regular 2142 servers work? If not... hate to say it but reinstall or have you already ?

I also had this bug on every bf2 engine game. Remove the pb folder from your bf2142 folder and then run the pbsetup.exe and make sure that your firewall isn't blocking pnkbstrb.exe or pnkbstra.exe.

I updated my punk buster and everything, and everytime i join a server i still get that message saying punkbuster isnt initialized and it fails, then the game crashes..

So can anyone tell me what the hell is going on
