You know Ive played PR and damn that mod is fun but your right lone wolfing with a cap ship straight into the middle is not a very good idea at all. Played a game with woodrow and my clanmate Wes, and we managed to get 1 Gallofree flown by TY2D2, woody got a corvette and wes got the Neb B. I tryed to get the other ccorvette but failed so i stuck with it and tryed to damage as many of the ships as i could before it went down then i went and gunned for woody because he dident have a gunner. We won that round because we formed up with TY2D2 and got repairs while we all shot up the enemy carriers and such. And the people flying the fighters did a decent job keeping fighters and bombers occupied.

yep it was a good round

Has anyone tried this? With withering fire being what it is, it's imperative that players work together. One very good way of doing that is to form squads.

When you get in the AT-ST, make a squad called 'AT-ST' or 'Walker'. Try to make sure whoever else is in the walker is also in your squad. Send a message like 'join AT-ST squad and work in conjunction with walker'. Have everyone else in the squad understand that they are to provide cover for the walker, flushing out infantry from the vehicle's vicinity so they don't get to take potshots. Have at least one engineer or repair droid or whatever in the squad, and order them to make sure the walker doesn't get too damaged.

Do the same thing with the larger ships in space. Make a squad called 'Carrack' or 'Gallofrees' or something and have everyone in the squad work in conjunction with them, providing escort and helping to take out other large ships.

Of course this is easier said than done, and it's very possible that as a Project Reality player I'm suffering from too high expectations of what's possible to organize and keep together in FS, but I think it'd be a good idea.
