UPDATE:

Ok having tried everything else to no avail i have given up and assigned the external IP to the server. At the minute the server if running on the machine i play on but i have a P4 with i think 2GIG of ram in the loft somewhere which i will dig out and setup as a dedicated FirstStrike server over the weekend until then i wil try to keep my server up as much as possible.

Thanks for this fantastic Mob guys you are all Heroes for making this happen, many other mobs seem to die half way through development but you guys have stuck at.

been there done that but the server refuses to start. The only way it will start for me is to have the enternal in both.

If the server is behind NAT you obviously enter its internal IP in interface IP and its external in the address.

ok so i have downloaded and installed everything, opened the following ports 17567, 55123, 55124, 55125, and the gamespy port 29900. Now my question is, in the server options where it says interfaceIP and serverIP should this be the internal IP or the external IP

did i mention the server is behind NAT.

If i put internal IP's in the server starts and runs fine, well at least locally it does i don't know if it can be seen on the online server lists im assuming it does but nobody has joined it yet so im not sure.

If i change the IP's to the external IP then the server refuses to start.

The server name is "AutomanUK FirstStrike RC1 Server"
