it went fine for me, i got almost same specs (xp media center, 2 gigs ram, dual core)

Well Media Edition is XP Pro, just with those extra stuff in it like Media Center

Alright, I had problems with Pro and some other people did as well. I will try running the patcher on my media edition PC and see if I have the same issue.. Woodrow will be releasing another version of the patch shortly that should work for you though.

Not shure what are you talking about. I downloaded the patch and when it goes to a screen with blue bar running accross, I get that message. I have two computers, my older on has no problem running mod with out of the patch and I had no problems inastaling it too, but my main one is having a majore brainn fart.
I was just wondering is there a patched up vertion of the mod I could download from some where?

im having the same prob stops at file 27 of 38
reinstalled multiple times
would there be some way a dev could send me the mod files so i can install without the installer

it will say you already have r1 installed and ask if he should remove it. say yes and r1 will reinstall. then try the patcher again.

Well it must be my luck, or should i say lack of it. Downloaded patch and trying to install, and in the middle of it I get this:FirstStrike_patch_1.0-1.1(2).exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Something tells me I got to reboot my F!@#$ing computer for the fifth time in last 10 month. Peace of advice never buy any products by HP.

If any of you guys need tech info from crash let me know and i will send you info via PM.
