FirstStrike isn't the only working 2142 mod. There is Conflict 2142, the stress relief mod, and sandbox2142 that I know of.

Fixed now. did a complete uninstall of First Strike and all other mods. Uninstalled 2142 and then reinstalled everything.

seems to be working fine now.

I always build my shaders first by creating a local server

Once done and loaded, I quit the map and go online

Finally got past that by loading the map in an un-populated server. Unfortunatly was kicked because they were not running 1.1.

Tried some other servers. After waiting on the VCD for 20 min. I aborted.

It should not be taking this long.

Game also hangs when I escape out. Shows unloading resources but just hangs to 10 min. or more. I have to Alt F4 out.

Installed client and patch. Now I get stuck on optimization shaders. After 10 minutes I have to Alt F4 out of 2142.

Was not able to find Cache folder to delete.

Anyone else have this problem?

Will keep trying to load game.
