I run at lowest settings which is fine but I have a very hard time seeing tie fighters until the are right on me. Seems the lighting as something to do with this? Possibly cause I have dynamic lighting off? Just wondering cause i have seen screen shots and movies and the Ties stick out wonderfully on the dark background. Just wondering if I can change a setting or 2 to put me back on par with everyone else in the visual aqcuisition department.

Other than that, I have no gripes on the quality since my system can't run that high to see it in it's full glory anyways

I have to admit that the graphics aren't that detailed like Quake Wars ET or other Unreal 3 engine based games, but the graphics are absolutely ok. Besides, only the house graphics (Mos Entha) seem to be less detailed but these textures are used extensively and will therefore eat most of your memory. Making them double the detailed eats 4 times more memory as far as I know.

I think it looks great too. Everything maxed out with 2XAA and it's really nice looking. I think a couple things will come with future releases. First, some of the lighting will come around a little more (not bad now, but hard to get just right I'm sure). Also, by nature, a lot of the textures in the FS SW universe are flat. Buildings on Tatooine are mostly adobe so they are a fairly flat look, etc.

I love the floor on the Endor map in the big Imp building. It reflects really well and takes you back to the shiny floors in some of the SW films.

I dont know what you are talking about. I play with high resolution and everything is turned as high as possible with high anti-aliasing aswell. Mod looks just amazingly good, but I do admit that I havent played 2142 for more than just 5 mins to try it works. Altho I played it with my old computer back then when it was released for those tense 5 mins and I cant really say anything about it. But I thought FS looks damn sweet on high settings.

I really like FS gameplay. Unlike other mods, it does not fully rely on the engine of BF2142 to run but makes adjustments (withering fire). However, when playing, i cannot help but notice that the graphics in FS seem poor in comparison to BF2142. I run on high video settings on my pc. Does anyone else notice this or is it just me? If so, why and more importantly can the issue be addressed?
