I love vehicle based maps. they are just so fun. so many different things to do and play with. i was dissapointed with northern strike as somebody said it was mostly vehicles but there was only a few. i want 20 walkers on each side and the sky filled with attack helicopters. chaos i was looking at GC and this mod looks so much better

You're not alone I prefer only large maps with lots of vehicles. I mean it's the Battlefield series we are talking about which is the premise of how it all got started.

it wasn't until BF2 that a new large group of players had no skill with vehicles so they pushed EA to focus on infantry only maps, which....as all of us true BF vets can attest to...SUCK

If...when the maps are released. The servers are set up for 1 map rotations, and dependant on how many maps altogether are made. We could in theory play the hole movie series 4-6, in a map rotation. How sweet would that be?
SW4 beginning, in the corvette. then SW4 deathstar space battle. SW4 Deathstar destruction.
SW5 Imperial invasion ground forces. SW5 Rebel HQ escape. SW5 Escape from Hoth.
SW6 Endor space battle. SW6 Endor strike team. SW6 Deathstar2 destuction.
For a total 9 map progression, and very movie like feeling.

I have always favored map progression, and think it should have been in BF2 all along. Actually it should be a "map time line or storyboard". Side one wins it then goes to the next map in the story. Side two wins it goes back one map.

personally, i like the idea of seperating land-based hoth into two maps... one almost purely snow speeders and walkers... and another that goes into the base.

really.. what i'm pushing for is a frozen el alamein, with like 20 at-sts, 3-5 at-ats, and a sky full of snow speeders... but i'm realizing i seem to be in the minority when it comes to my love for vehicle-filled maps... as shown in an apalling lack of 'space maps only' servers...

I was thinking about the classic GC hoth map, snow speeders and walkers galore!

I seem to keep coming back on thought to when Darth Vader Entered the base.
There didnt seem to be much fighting in the rebel Hq.
however im sure if we could have seen behind the scenes, there would have been some awsome fire fights, on the inside of the compound.
As the Rebels are trying to hold the Empire back to allow more time for the transports and others to get off the planet.

So i am suggesting a Imperial push map, with the objective of taking the Hangar as the last objective.
All to take place indoors, and have about 6 objectives.
With some large indoor areas with second floor walkways for sniping and for holding the Empire back.
Maybe some background voice overs..
like, The first transport is away. The empire has entered the base.
Would be a good place to see the Falcon in a hangar, having yet to take off.
