It seems to me that EA should be happy that people are buying BF2142 on the back of the FS mod..hopefully the devs will get some kudos from them for that..maybe even a development grant..

Played 2142 like a crazy mad foo and got burned out, couldn't take the friggin titan lag anymore, I do miss my pilium tho. Anyone know if they put a I/O option yet? Went back to Bf2 cause I love the era its placed in, but now I can't stand all the glitchers, its really bad in special forces (stupid grappling hook). Looks like FS has my attention forever and always!

lol, i also never play 2142, i just play reality mod for bf2, sanboxmod for bf2, and FS for 2142.

does anyone ever play the vanila games anymore lol......i hope not

I too bought 2142 just for this mod. Same as when I bought unreal tournament 2004 just for Red Orchestra.

I haven't even touched 2142 since I played the demo and doubt I will. I never played 2004 either. Just not my kind of games. I don't like the future...just the fake star wars future...that is really the past as...it is a long long time ago.

It's worth it. I bought the original BF1942 only for Galactic Conquest (the spiritual predecessor to First Strike), just as I bought BF2142 only for First Strike (as well as BF2 - before the dev team decided to shift their aim to the BF2142 engine).

vanilla means original/un-modded, for instance Zenoth won't be playing 2142 but he'll be playing FS.

No it does not. It was originally intended as a mod for Battlefield 2 but plans were changed when it became clear 2142 included better support for many features that needed to go into a Star Wars mod, like walkers and droids.
