TIE Fighter is awesome. I did a battle or two for the remake for X-Wing Alliance. Incredible game.

There is also a mod team re-doing the game(TIE) with updated everything. But its a very, very, very slow process which has a possibility of never coming out. they have been working on it for years

What are you talking about? It's been out for an eternity. Get it at Darksaber's X-Wing Station.

Great game. I remember playing it on floppys at a friends house. And then years later buying it(compilation of X-WING, TIE, X-WING ALLIANCE), and playing on WIN 2000.

FYI, lucas arts has a patch for TIE FIGHTER that lets you play on XP. i have yet to try it because I unfortuneatly don't have the software anymore.
But I've heard from others that it works.

Time to go to amazon/ebay and try to hunt down a copy.

if you get captured as a rebel and you type in hoth when they ask you where the rebel base is with type in hoth before they kill you, you become a imperial pilot!! lol jk, i used to think that actually happened and i wondered why it never worked

TIE Fighter. Such a great game.

First game I ever beat, too. I remebered I tried to kill Darth Vader and the Emperor a couple of times in the missions. I always failed.

I got so pissed off when I found my CD cracked about three years after I beat it.

Woot! And its fun dude! I forgot how much I loved this game...but how do I get the sound to work?
