i thiink it will get better which more content. For me its great at the moment but can get boring. when we have more maps things will get better.

Guys , I think a great deal of the problem lies in certain incompatibilities with some people's rigs. A hardware issue, I have a friend who can play in any infantry maps, but CTDs on the space maps .
I have another friend who cant play at all , but his rig works fine with Vanilla 2142 . Address these problems , and the MOD will get more populated.

I think FS needs more publicity. Perhaps people should start saying things in vanilla BF2142 and/or BF2 like, "This game is too boring. Come over and play FS", or maybe something that doesn't sound like spam, "First strike is better than this", and then tell them about it.

Try and target those who say, "BF2142 sucks! I hate it so much!" Those are probably the people who would like to see a decent change in the original Battlefield formula.

I think the biggest competition out there right now is Firstly, The orange box, and secondly Halo 3, but soon enough people will get bored with them.

Hey, FS is free and FUN! I got tired of running around the same old maps on 2142. FS is a nice breath of fresh air.

The Dev's have done a great job and are still hard at work. Thank's to them for all the hard work!

CoD4 will be a huge draw next month. Will probably hear a big sucking sound in the FPS world.

I'd chalk it up to two things.

1) Battlefield 2142 has a much smaller player base than Battlefield 2

2) The initial release (pre-patch) had frequent enough crash issues that there was quite a bit of bad word spread about the stability of the mod on forums and download comments sections

Aye, looks like you're right, seems we're some 20,000 people short on the 1.1 Patch downloads, perhaps we need to get the word out more that a patch is now available.

That said, in game it'll tell you on most servers that it's running v1.1.

well i can say im soon to recruit 10 more peopel for the mod i have been showing it off for my fellow clan members and they love it!!!! and we will soon put ouer BF2142 server on this mod too though we still need to play a feew official matches to play ones they are done we will have a server and aditional 10 people will join in on playing this awesom mod.

I think they are expecting too much from the first release and dont see how great it can be.

That's actually a good idea, I think.

But y'all know... I just have to face that opinions are divided on this mod. I posted a review at Battlefront.no and attached a poll to the thread, asking people to give the game a rating from one to six. Three people voted 5, but an equal number of people voted 1. I trust Release 2 will up the player count, though.
