yeah i've seen this bug quite a bit too but when im driving the neb b and i try to use the pilot guns on it the cross hairs seem to be off.. when i shoot forward it shoots to the left and so on.. maybe its just me though..

yeah safekeeper taht sounds like a good idea if used properly. I could see some noobs using that to tk a bunch of people or waste it on something unworthy.. maybe you would have like some small space fighter that acts like an escape pod or something like that so when you set the timer to explode you could just hop into that and get outta there

The one that really bugs me is when they take out a freighter out to attack an enemy capital ship - as if a freighter is a roper battleship

Happened to me today. Both sides were down to one cap ship each, the Rebels having a Gallofree and the Imperials a Lancer frigate, which I spawned into. I headed straight for the enemy freighter across the map, and amazingly it charges straight at me. I think it was about 600-700 meters away when it blew. Either a beginner who overestimated the freighter's abilities, a beginner who thought the fighters and the freighter together would finish me, or an idiot who wanted the map ended. Weird either way .

or some retards just hate space battles, do map votes all the time, spam out "VOTE YES", and in order to end the map they suicide all the cap ships...

Which is why I choose to Opt Out of All Voting. So all I hear is the stupid 'Vote yes plz this map sucks!'-style whining.

Only time you should do a Vote Map is when you're in a space map with too few people to play it properly. Escape from Hoth just isn't fun with only three or four people per side.

Having said that... I'd like to see a map where you have a special 'fire ship' Gallofree loaded to the brink with explosives, along with a self-destruct mechanism. Drive it into the path of an enemy capital warship, and if you manage to reach it, hit primary fire to set off your cargo and blow yourself and the enemy ship to kingdom come.

If I switch to a gunner's seat on the Nebulon-B Frigate and then Suicide to go to a different cruiser, the frigate's alignment changes from friendly to neutral, and the ship is no long accessible as a spawn point.

Now when I tried this, it was to take photos through Multiplayer > Local > Create Conquest Game > Battle of Taloraan 64 player, so I don't know yet if it applies to other cruisers too, or if it's different when playing Multiplayer > Online. But it's just a little annoying when I'm testing weapons on different ships and have to make sure I'm in the pilot's seat.

Anyone else have this suicide-loses-ship problem?
