Someone bought or transferred the rights to the Name Homeworld back to Relic recently, [original studio] which could mean a Homewrold 3.
FIngers xed.
I never finished the original after saving with limited resources that one time...:P need to see if I still have it. I also recall the original game has some striking music by the group YES in it somewhere.

I hated that mod.
And yes homeworld was truly groundbreaking but I would take empire at war over it any day, I love eaw and foc. (dont hurt me.*gets riot gear*)

Groundbreaking space strategy game. The original Homeworld of years ago puts games like Empire at War to shame.

The piece of music your referring to is Barber's Adagio for Strings. There was a remix of it by William Orbit as well if your interested. Btw Homeworld 2 is a cracking game which i still have a copy of.

Try googling (or whatever search engine you prefer) for Homeworld soundtrack. There was a cd sold that had the soundtrack alone. You might also be able to get the music from the game itself by decompiling the game files. I don't know that the music has a title, but I do remember hearing it on tv or in a movie of some sort.

Does anyone remember homeworld? whoa what a great game. Now for some questions, who thinks that the scene where you return after the attack to find your planet being destroyed is realy great? Does anyone know the name of the music that played at that scene and are there any plans for a homeworld 3?
