If it exists in the real world I bet you someone like SWRPG has made it into a Star Wars weapon... you just have to find it... but still the role you speak of is taken by the precision rifles of the medic class, just put thme on single fire.

i don't agree with the reload after each shot but a gun like that sounds fun

Maybe like the M1 Garand seen in so many WW2 games

I think a semi auto (non sniper) rifle would be pretty cool. High power but reload after each shot. Maybe like the engineer rifles in 1942.
